Ingredients
1 cup warm water
2 tsp sugar
2 tbs canola oil
1 cup flour
2 eggs
Oil for frying
Dry mixture: 2 tsp cinnamon and 9 tsp sugar for coating
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar and oil. Bring it to a boil and remove from the stove.
Add in the flour and stir continuously until the mixture forms a smooth paste. Then add in the eggs and stir until smooth.
Place the dough into a piping bag with a large star-shaped decorating tip.
Pipe out strips onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. You can make them as long as you'd like. If you do not have the star tip, you can use a circular tip, and form a shape similar to what the star tip would create. You can really make them into whatever shape you'd like.
Place the formed dough in the freezer for 45 minutes.
Heat frying oil in a large pot to 350˚F.
Fry the churros until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
Immediately toss in a bowl, or roll on a plate of cinnamon sugar.
Enjoy!
