Silken Tofu with Soy Dressing

This tofu dish is a quick, classic and tasty side that is perfect for a chilly night in.

Ingredients

1 package silken, or soft style tofu


Soy Garlic Sauce

4-6 cloves garlic, minced

4 tbs soy sauce

3 tbs black vinegar

2 tbs sesame oil

2 tbs oyster sauce

1 tbs sugar

1 tbs chili oil


For Garnish

Green onions, chopped

Cilantro, chopped


Instructions

  1. Drain excess water from the package of tofu and remove the tofu from the packaging by placing a plate on top, and flipping it over. Slice the tofu into ½ to 1-inch thick pieces and let sit to drain future excess .

  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the sauce ingredients.

  3. Prepare a steamer and steam the tofu for 8-10 minutes.

  4. Once done, carefully drain any excess water from the tofu using heat protection.

  5. Evenly pour the sauce over the tofu and garnish as you desire. Enjoy with a warm bowl of rice!
