Serves: 3

Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 10-15min

If you haven’t seen the movie Parasite, you should change that, because they make the simple Jjapaguri (aka Ram Don) look so delicious and luxurious.

Ingredients

2 packages of Chapagetti instant noodles

2 packages of Neoguri instant noodles

8-16 oz of beef (rib eye steak, or sirloin), cubed

Salt

Pepper

Oil, for frying

1 tbs butter, unsalted

Directions

  1. Pat the steak dry, season with salt and pepper and in a small pan over medium heat, cook the beef until cooked to your liking. Once it starts to brown, add in butter and cook for another 1-2 minutes on high. Remove and save for later.

  2. In a large pot over high heat, cook all noodle packets and dehydrated vegetable packets according to the instructions.

  3. Save 1-2 cups of the pasta water and drain the rest. Rinse the noodles with cold water to prevent further cooking.

  4. Place the noodles and vegetables back into the pot, add in some of the water (just enough to mix the packages -- for now). Add in all the seasoning packages from the Chapagetti and half of the spicy seasoning packet of the Neoguri (anything else can be added). Mix well and add more water as needed. It should not be that saucy or even a little soupy.

  5. Add the beef back in, toss with the noodles, serve with your preferred garnishes and enjoy!
