Serves: 4

Prep Time: 5-8 min

Cook Time: ~15 min

This Japanese inspired glazed corn on the cob is quick, tasty and simple.

Ingredients:

4 ears of corn on the cob, fresh

2 tbs olive oil

1 tsp salt

Glaze

3 tbs soy sauce

3 tbs mirin

2 tbs sugar

Garnish

Togarashi, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to broil.

  2. In a medium pot over medium heat, add the glaze ingredients and cook until the sugar is melted and the mixture thickens. Remove from the stove and let cool.

  3. In an aluminum lined baking sheet with your oiled and salted cobs, place it in the center of the oven. Broil for 6-8 minutes until it starts to brown. Turn the cobs over and start to brush with the glaze. Continue this every 2 minutes until the glaze has caramelized.

  4. Remove from the oven, add your optional seasoning here, and enjoy while warm!
