Serves: 1-2
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
After spending 10 days in Hawaii and seeing how they value a great shrimp plate, this was an effort to recreate Giovanni’s garlic shrimp lunch.

Ingredients
¾ lb fresh shrimp, deveined, shell-on
2 tbs flour
1 tbs paprika
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp salt
1 head garlic, minced (but not too fine)
4-6 tbs butter
1 tbs olive oil
Lemon slices, to finish
Rice, to serve
Instructions
Pat dry your shrimp and set aside.
Combine in a large bowl: flour, paprika, salt and cayenne. Toss in your shrimp and let rest until ready to cook.
In a large saute pan, melt your butter over medium heat. Add in the garlic and cook until golden brown. Set aside in a bowl for later use.
In the same pan, add oil and cook the shrimp over medium heat. It may take 1-2 batches to cook all the shrimp since you will want to have only 1 layer. Cook until the shrimp pinkens, and the shell becomes nice and crispy.
Add the garlic and garlic butter back into the pan and mix well. Cook for an additional minute or 3. Serve with warm rice and give a generous squeeze of lemon over it. Enjoy!
