Super simple, and quick to make. Chocolate chip cookies are a great addition to your repertoire. We highly recommend.

Ingredients

1 cup, plus 2 tbs of flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Grease two baking sheets, or line with parchment paper.

  3. Put the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Stir and set aside.

  4. In another large mixing bowl, add in butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. With the electric mixer, set at medium-high speed and mix well. Add the egg and the vanilla in, and mix until creamy and smooth.

  5. Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until blended. Then add in the chocolate chips.

  6. Form the cookie dough into small balls about 1 tbs of dough, in a circle, onto the baking sheets about 2 inches apart from each other.

  7. Bake for 11-15 min, or until it is golden brown on the outside. If you see your oven bakes unevenly, you can turn the tray around.

  8. Let cool on a rack for 3-4 minutes, and enjoy!
