We recommend that you prep your items before starting as this recipe can be fast paced. Aglio e olio is a pasta dish that is full of flavor and only relies on a few staple ingredients.

Ingredients 1 lb dried spaghetti 1 cup extra virgin olive oil 12 large garlic cloves, in thin slivers

1 tbs red pepper flakes 2 lemons, juiced

1 cup fresh parsley, finely minced

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Freshly grated Sea salt

Ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and add the pasta. Cook until it is al dente, about 8 minutes. Conserve 1 cup of pasta water, and drain the rest.

  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add in the garlic slivers and stir frequently until the garlic is golden brown. Add in the red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

  3. Throw in the drained spaghetti directly to the pan. Toss quickly and make sure the pasta is thoroughly coated with the garlic oil.

  4. Remove pan from heat, add the parsley and Parmesan and toss well. Check for flavor and adjust the salt if necessary. Squeeze lemons in to taste. Garnish with more Parmesan.

  5. Enjoy!
